Data Entity

An encapsulation of data that is recognized by a business domain expert as a thing. Logical data entities can be tied to applications, repositories, and services and may be structured according to implementation considerations. A data entity is a collection of data about something that the business terms important and worthy of capture.

Data Object

A boundary zone that encapsulates related data entities to form a logical location to be held; for example, external procurement information.

Enterprise

Accordingly to TOGAF, The highest level (typically) of description of an organization and typically covers all missions and functions. An enterprise will often span multiple organizations. In many cases it can referred as entire business of an organization.

Goal

A high-level statement of intent or direction for an organization. Typically used to measure the success of an organization.  

Initiative

Initiatives help define the activities that deliver a result towards achieving the Objective. An initiative may be further broken down into programs and projects.

Interface

Application Interface is a point of access where an application service is made available to a consumer (e.g., a business process, another application component etc.). It specifies how the functionality of a component can be accessed by other components (i.e., a provided interface), or which functionality the component requires from other components (i.e., required interface). Measurement

An indicator or factor that can be tracked, usually on an ongoing basis, to determine success or alignment with objectives and goals.    

Measurement Area

A logical collection of Measurements applied to goals or objectives for an Enterprise. The measurement area provides grouping of measurement for ease of understanding, and use.
