Constraint

A restriction on a process and/or application which needs to be removed to achieve goals and/or objectives.

Enterprise

Accordingly to TOGAF, The highest level (typically) of description of an organization and typically covers all missions and functions. An enterprise will often span multiple organizations. In many cases it can referred as entire business of an organization.

Goal

A high-level statement of intent or direction for an organization. Typically used to measure the success of an organization.  

Initiative

Initiatives help define the activities that deliver a result towards achieving the Objective. An initiative may be further broken down into programs and projects.

Objective

A time-bounded milestone for an organization used to demonstrate progress towards a goal. For example, “Increase capacity utilization by 30% by the end of 2009 to support the planned increase in market share”. Product

The output generated by a business. The business product of the execution of a process.  

Role

Business Role is required to determine the responsibilities associated an individual for execution of a Process/ Activity. It is the usual or expected function of an actor, or the part somebody or something plays in a particular action or event. An actor may have a number of roles.

The underlying factor that leads to a specific outcome, primarily associated with a non-conformance.
